Care for your jewelry
Simple care guidance for Lumière 18K gold and lab-grown diamond jewelry.

Everyday care
Lumière jewelry is made for regular wear, but fine jewelry keeps its finish longest when it is treated with a few careful habits.
- Remove your piece before swimming, showering, heavy cleaning, exercise, or weight training.
- Avoid perfume, lotions, chlorine, bleach, and household cleaning products.
- Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box to reduce scratching and tangling.
- Check clasps, settings, and stone security periodically, especially on rings and daily-wear pieces.
Cleaning at home
For most diamond and 18K gold pieces, use warm water with a small amount of mild soap. Let the piece soak briefly, clean gently with a soft brush, rinse carefully, and dry with a lint-free cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, paper towels, toothpaste, ultrasonic machines, or commercial dips unless our concierge team has confirmed they are suitable for your specific piece.
White gold and professional care
18K white gold is finished with rhodium for a bright white surface. With wear, that finish can soften over time and may need refreshing. Annual inspection and professional cleaning can also help keep settings secure.
When to contact us
If a stone feels loose, a clasp changes tension, or your piece has had an impact, stop wearing it and contact Lumière before further use. Include your order reference and a clear photo so our team can advise on the next step.
